Taking Action

Let me take a moment to introduce myself. I am a mad, miserable, anxious, overweight, sometimes overburdened person, sound familiar? The day to day grind has finally caught up with me, my family, my partner and pretty much most Americans, fortunately, something has happened, on December 1st, 2017, I was blessed with the most significant gift that life has to offer, a beautiful son, Anthony Scott.

Like most new parents, the first few months were rough. Anthony was crying all night, needing to be fed every 2 hours or so. My partner and I were at wit’s end with each other. I have to admit; I haven’t always been the most understanding partner, not giving much mind to the struggles of a new mother or pretty much her life in general. I’m not saying she is always the perfect partner either, but in the long run, I wouldn’t want anyone else. Double this up with trying to balance life and work, helping her at night and now going back to finish my degree; life is pretty stressful. With all this going on in my life I have decided it’s time for a change. It’s time to say enough, it’s time not just to live but to live better, its time to not only work but work better and it’s time not just to be but to be better…

You’re probably asking yourself why I am calling this site thebalanicingaction.com instead of thebalancingact.com, well first off the latter wasn’t available, but the more I thought about it, the more it made sense. I looked at it this way; an act is a single duty, action is more in-depth, whereas an act is more focused on oneself, action effects everyone and everything. I have decided not just to act but to take action in my life!

I want you to join me on this journey, and hopefully, I can provoke a spark in your life not just to act but take action!
